Skin Conditions: How to help your skin through proper nutrition
Eczema, Psoriasis, and other skin conditions have been linked to low levels of Omega 3 fatty acid, commonly know as "fish oil". We have OF3A in the True Essential Packs called the EFA Capsule (Essential Fatty Acid). >
As well, althought the name of the product points to the joints, the
True Essential Joint Solution with HA
supplement has ingredients that work systemically - therefore the anti-inflammatory and reduced irritation ingredients may also potentially reduce the skin flare ups and bad skin conditions.
And then we would encourage that you look at your acid/alkaline balance. We offer True Essentail Ph Strips that give feedback on the internal balance in your body. If you screen acidic, then an acidic system can cause havoc on many parts of the body and with the skin being the largest organ, it displays internal challenges.

Oligofructose cuts infections and sickness in kids
A daily supplement of the prebiotic oligofructose significantly improved the intestinal health of young children in day care, and cut the number of bacterial infections and illness episodes, says new research from France. “Our study is the first one to evaluate the effects of OF supplementation on modulation of
microflora with tolerance and well-being in young children attending day-care centres,” wrote lead author Anne-Judith Waligora-Dupriet from the Université René Descartes, Paris. Considerable research has already focused on the role of inulin and oligofructose in bone health and colorectal cancer, and the science is now expanding in ever-increasing circles
to cover potential benefits for the immune system, weight management, and intestinal health ans skin conditions.
Green vegetable compounds may protect against breast cancer
Compounds found in broccoli and other green vegetables could inhibit the growth of breast cancer cells, according to an in vitro study. The cancer-fighting properties of broccoli, a member of the crucifer family of vegetables, are not new and previous studies have related these benefits to the high levels of active plant chemicals called glucosinolates. These are metabolised by the body into isothiocynates, and evidence suggests these are powerful anti-carcinogens. The main
isothiocynate from broccoli is sulforaphane. Other studies have proposed that the compound indole-3-carbinol (I3C), a phytochemical found naturally in cruciferous vegetables, could also have potential prevention activity
against hormone-responsive tumours, such as breast, ovarian and prostate cancer. New data, published on-line ahead of print in the journal Carcinogenesis (doi:10.1093/carcin/bgl171) and presented recently at the National Cancer Research
Institute Conference, adds to these studies by reporting that I3C could alter receptors in breast cancer cells and induced apoptosis (programmed cell death)
